In the Name of God

Harim Sazeh Sepahan Company, relying on the scientific expertise of its engineers and its distinguished record in the field of consulting and designing industrial structures and multi-purpose halls, and backed by years of effort in developing civil engineering software, proudly presents its new software under the brand name “Steela” to the civil engineering community of the country.

This software has been developed and produced after years of continuous research and extensive studies in structural design, employing modern computer programming methods.

Today, by the grace of God, Harim Sazeh Sepahan is honored to release the first version of the truss module of this software for use by engineers. We hope that by providing this software, we can take a step towards improving structural design processes, enhancing their speed and accuracy, and ultimately achieving optimized and more economical structures in compliance with the National Building Regulations.

Key Features:

  • Structures are modeled in 3D within the Steela environment exactly as they will be constructed in reality.

  • Users can insert drawings of any part of the 3D model into plans with any angle or perspective.

  • Drawing commands can be executed by typing their names, similar to AUTOCAD.

  • Automatic and manual modeling of all walls, openings, and windows is supported. Material unit weights can be defined separately to allow accurate weight and cost estimation.

  • The software is programmed to cover all stages: definition, modeling, analysis, and design, along with producing detailed fabrication and cutting drawings—eliminating the need for multiple software such as SAP, TEKLA STRUCTURE, AUTOCAD, etc.

  • The software automatically checks code compliance and reports any technical errors in the design.

  • Outputs include:

    • Structural and cutting drawings in AUTOCAD

    • Calculation reports in WORD

    • Analytical model in SAP

Current Limitations:
a) The software currently supports modeling of truss and steel hall structures only.
b) The current version allows modeling of single-slope and double-slope (gable) roofs.
c) A full range of box sections can be defined for truss members, while other sections (double channels, angles, single sections, etc.) are under development.
d) Crane modeling and multi-story structures are not included in the initial versions.
e) Changes in the location of bracings and defining joint forms are limited, as these modules are under development.
f) The software is only compatible with SAP2000 V25.2.
g) Load assignment is based on the 2019 Iranian Load Code – Chapter 6.
h) The software is currently available only in 64-bit.
i) Minimum required RAM for installation is 8 GB.

In conclusion, considering the long path ahead in the development of this software, we sincerely hope to benefit from the support and constructive feedback of our valued users, which will help us move forward.
